“How’s it going,” you ask??

"So how's the campaign going?"
Where to begin?!
I'm talking to constituents and learning from community leaders...
- I've met hundreds of neighbors in District 8 at events, festivals, and meet & greets around the neighborhood.
- This week, I participated in a Millennial Roundtable hosted by The Startup Collaborative where I spoke about how young people in Nebraska invest in our state through entrepreneurship, volunteerism in their communities, and service to the causes they believe in. I challenged our leaders to listen to the unique needs of this growing population when considering policy changes that affect Nebraskans' quality of life.
- I'm personally knocking every door in the district. Want to join me?
...we're hosting lots of events...
- Mark your calendars for September 7th when Omaha Bicycle Co. is hosting a Meet & Greet for me in Benson. See more details on Facebook.
- Join me September 13 for a fundraiser at Round & Round, Dundee's coworking space, hosted by Justin and Katie Kemerling, Jake Welchert, and Adam Casey. See more details on Facebook.
- I'm co-producing Dundee Day this year, an annual street festival that highlights the Dundee neighborhood with a parade, street vendors, food trucks, live music, and a beer garden. It's a full day of entertainment for the whole family, and I hope you will come! I'll be around all day and I'm happy to say hello.
- Other places to find me this summer include Maha Music Festival, Benson Femme Fest, Farnam Fest, and Lincoln Calling.
...and we've gotten some great press!
- Inc Magazine featured my campaign in this article about entrepreneurs running for office. We already know that innovative women consistently make things happen and get results through collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. You can find us everywhere from the board room to the ballot!
- Writer Robin Marty profiled me in a piece for Cosmopolitan Magazine where she asked me questions about my experience as an entrepreneur, a single mom, and a fighter for reproductive rights.
- Photojournalist and videographer Maura Friedman shadowed me this week for an upcoming story in one of my favorite news magazines. Look for that coming in the next few weeks! There's a lot of national interest in our little blue dot in this red state, and I'm proud to speak to people in the media about the promise of progress we represent in Nebraska.
