DREAMers are here to stay.
September 04th, 2017
DREAMers are registered, law-abiding young people who grew up in the U.S., who attend our schools, who build careers and start businesses here, who put down roots here and make our country, state, and communities stronger. Ending DACA is a slap in the face to our shared American values of equality, opportunity, and freedom. The United States, and Nebraska, will never be leaders in economic and intellectual innovation without welcoming, supporting, and championing our newest neighbors. To end the dream of education, enterprise, and prosperity for DACA youth who have never known any other country as home is cruel, unfair, and racist. Policies like DACA represent our nation at its best--a beacon of hope and opportunity for all people, extending dignity and promoting economic prosperity for all who want to call the United States of America home.
If you are a Nebraska DACA recipient and have questions, please contact Justice For Our Neighbors-Nebraska, Nebraska Appleseed, and the ACLU of Nebraska.
