Tomorrow is Election Day!

There is a lot at stake in this year's election. It's incumbent upon all of us to exercise our right to vote and uphold our civic duty. Together, we can accomplish great things for our state, but we need your vote on Tuesday. Ensure your family, friends, and neighbors have a voting plan in place, and vote for your values tomorrow!

Establish a voting plan: 

• Find your polling place here. With redistricting, your polling place may have changed - be sure to double-check.
• Set a specific time you plan to cast your vote. Reach out to three friends and invite them to join you!
• Research what's on your ballot, including the two ballot initiatives & constitutional amendment. I've linked a few of my favorite ballot guides below.
  • Vote 411 gives personalized ballot and candidate info.
  • Voters' guide to Nebraska's Judicial Retention Election provides detailed info on the process as well as a link to the state Bar Poll and Judge's Judicial Profile. 
  • Civic Nebraska provides nonpartisan info on the roles and responsibilities of each office.
  • Nebraska Democratic Party Voter Guides
• Plan your transportation to the polls.
  • Metro will offer free bus rides on Election Day (both ORBT and MOBY). Use the MyRide OMA to route and track bus trips to polling places.
  • Heartland Bike Share is offering free rides to the polls - use code VOTE22 on the BCycle app.
  • Lyft will provide 50% off rides to polling places - use code VOTE22.
  • Lime is offering free scooter rides to and from the polls - use code LIMETOTHEPOLLS2022.

Do you still have your early-voting ballot?

It's too late to your ballot via mail. Instead, drop it off IN PERSON at a local drop box location by 8pm on Tuesday. Remember to sign your envelope! You can check the status of your early voting ballot here. The drop boxes in/closest to District 8 are:

• Asian Market (321 N. 76th St.) Drop box is located at the west end of the parking lot
• Clarkson College Parking Lot 8 (42nd & Farnam St.) Drop box is located in the northwest corner on the east side of the parking lot 
• Goodwill (4805 N. 72nd St.) Drop box is located at the southwest end of the parking lot
• Milton R. Abrahams Branch Library (5111 N. 90th St.) Drop box is located south of the main entrance
