Nebraskans need Title X Funding

It is not the role of the State Legislature to choose who my healthcare provider will be—politicians are not doctors. While Nebraska refuses to take policy measures to expand access to affordable healthcare, they continue to double down on anti-woman, anti-worker, anti-family positions by removing funding for the only access to healthcare some of us have.

I will always be a champion for the WCA and the people they serve. 

A few months ago, the Women's Center for Advancement interviewed me for their #WCAwithinreach campaign, coinciding with the opening of their beautiful new building at 38th & Harney in Omaha. In schools, in cities, in healthcare centers, people cannot live their best lives unless they are supported by policy and practices that are based on the best information. Sofia knows this and uses her talent as a researcher, organizer, and speaker to shoulder the task of improving people's lives in measurable ways. Her findings about sexual health have spread throughout the academic community resulting in policy recommendations that affect everyday people on the ground level. She is one of those people who is working hard behind the scenes on things the rest of us think "just happen."
