Town Hall with Senator Hunt

May 20

We have just 8 working days left during this legislative session and we are hard at work making the most of these last few weeks. We have covered a vast amount of policy territory, ranging from medicaid expansion to property rights to wind energy development to business incentives and more. I’m eager to share the details of these discussions with you and to look at how these policies will impact District 8 and Omaha. During this Town Hall, I will provide an update on the progress of legislation I introduced this session, information about other bills that will impact our district, and answer any questions you may have. Drinks will be available for purchase at the B•Side bar. Please join us! Free event.

Free Film Screening: Boy Erased

Feb 20

Wednesday night, Nebraska! We're hosting a free screening of the film Boy Erased followed by a discussion with experts in the healthcare field and survivors of conversion therapy. Conversion therapy is a completely debunked practice that refers to any treatment or psychotherapy which aims to change or "cure" a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity. Fifteen states and D.C. have banned this practice, and with my bill, LB167, I hope to add Nebraska to that list. Come to this special screening event to learn more about my legislation and more about the impacts of this treatment on Nebraskans. I am inviting all Senators and staff, and the event is open to the public.
